I finally finished the Fluffle Bee!
I’m really sorry that I haven’t posted for such a long while; there are a couple of reasons:
Firstly, I really wanted my next post to contain the video of the Bee painting I started ages ago (It’s been a whole month!). I really did underestimate the amount of time it would take to edit the video.
My Youngest (he’s 19), Jordan said he would like to have a go at editing it for me, he’s done a few before and as I’ve been really busy lately, I thought it would be a good idea to let him have a go.
There were a few issues with transferring files from my computer to his, and back again – even though they are only one room apart from each other. But even after that was sorted out it seemed to be taking a long time, eventually it turned out that he was waiting for me to sort out the end slide while I thought he had agreed to do it. Proper communication failure there, you wouldn’t think we both lived in the same house would you? Apparently he really agonized over what music to put on it, it is very difficult to find free music that doesn’t infringe on anyone’s royalty and copyrights
But that brings me to the other reason for the delay - busy-ness. I’ve been incredibly busy with all sorts of things this month, and I’ve had many interruptions. I start one job and another pops up that has priority, I’m sure you’ve all been there! I must have had 10 or so tasks on the go at any one time and kept forgetting where I was with it all. It can get a bit annoying and feel like you are working away like mad but not achieving much. That’s where I’ve been this month.
Anyway, the video here on YouTube now and I’ve got to apologise for the poor focus and jumpiness in parts of it. I recorded it on my phone, on a weirdly flexible phone stand (It’s like one of those selfie sticks but with a clamp on the end and a poseable stick) the thing wobbled about all the time and comically wafted every time I had to press a button on the phone.
On the plus side it’s given me the push I needed to properly set up my video camera with a proper tripod (actually its 2 tripods strapped together). Here’s a pic of the set up.
My website has been updated a little, just a few tweaks here and there, please can you let me know if you find any problems with it? Thanks :-)
I still need to sort out the newsletter and add new works to the shop.
